Volleyball Beach is proud to have hosted the 2nd Annual Dig City KC fundraising event for the Trent Green Family Foundation! Held on Friday, June 24th, The Dig City KC sand volleyball tournament was presented in cooperation with 810 Sports Radio and featured a fun, action packed tournament that also gave back to family oriented charities in the Kansas City community. The Trent Green Family Foundation challenged businesses around the metro to organize a team and come out and compete at Volleyball Beach to support local charities. “It’s great that we’re able to give businesses in the KC metro a chance to get out of the office and have some fun, all while helping the children of Kansas City,” said Sue Denice, with the Green Foundation. Enjoy some photos from the event in our Dig City gallery.
The Trent Green Family Foundation was established by former Chiefs quarterback, Trent Green, to support and develop family-focused programs that improve the health and wellness, education, and the future of Kansas City kids in need. Since the foundation was established in 1999, millions of dollars have been donated to help improve the quality of life for thousands of individuals. A chance drawing and silent auction were held for those who were looking for other ways to support the tournament. All proceeds went to support Trent Green Family Foundation’s long-term partners, Children’s Mercy, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, The Phoenix Family, and the YMCA of Greater Kansas City!
