On May 6th, 2017, Volleyball Beach welcomed May Fire! back for its 5th annual appearance! May Fire! is one of 17 AVPNext tournaments in the country where volleyball players can play to earn points toward becoming a professional volleyball player and compete for a bid in Manhattan Beach Open – a tournament known as the Super Bowl of beach volleyball. Over 30 teams came from all over the country including Denver, Florida and California to compete for the $4,000 total purse at Volleyball Beach!
Of course, becoming a professional volleyball is not in everyone’s life plan, but there’s something for everyone at VBB! Many of the players had friends and family out to support them on the deck and under the gorgeous blue sky – perfect to enjoy a cocktail, watch some beach volleyball, and soak up the sun!
The weather was so perfect during May Fire!, even KCTV5 made a stop to check out the top volleyball teams in the nation competing at Volleyball Beach!
