Meet Our Martin City Neighbors!

By June 17, 2016April 17th, 2019One Comment

It struck us recently that many of our Volleyball Beach customers are not from Martin City.

So from time-to-time we thought we’d introduce you to some of the members of the Martin City business community that we’ve found to be so friendly and welcoming! Please stop in and visit any or all of the most excellent neighbors that provide Martin City its unique identity, much of its history and, of course, the unique culture (that we absolutely love!) in the city we’re glad to call “home”!

Not only does Martin City Brewing Company have great food, but Volleyball Beach even sells their IPA on tap! Be sure to order it next time you’re at the Beach, or stop by their location at 500 E. 135th St. Kansas City, MO 64145!

Of course, no one who’s dined there can forget the legendary Jess & Jim’s Stekhouse – who was recently named one of the “10 Best Steakhouses in the World” by Yahoo Food! The Steakhouse’s regular customers (as well as all of us at Volleyball Beach), couldn’t agree more! Try them out next time you’re in Martin City at 517 E. 135th St, Kansas City, MO 64145!

Loyal customers from Kansas City and beyond as well as Martin City locals rave about RC’s Chicken! They’re well known throughout the region for their family style meals and World Famous chicken. Stop by and try yourself at 330 E. 135th St, Kansas City, MO 64145!

Volleyball Beach really  appreciates our great relationship with Rosehill Gardens; not only do they do our landscaping, but their teams also assists in putting up (and taking down) the gigantic heated air-dome we inflate for the winter season. Rosehill Gardens also provides beautiful landscaping for VBB – as well as much of Martin City!

Volleyball Beach KCThe Martin City Community Improvement District (CID) recently won a Cornerstone “People’s Choice Award” through a 10-day public vote on Facebook for the streetscape improvements along 135th Street. They even beat out the new downtown KC streetcar system based on cast Cornerstone votes! We can’t wait to see what’s next for Martin City CID!

We’ll continue to call out our neighbors from time to time to let you know about our thriving Martin City Community. One thing’s for certain: Volleyball Beach is proud to be part of it!

  • Hey Volleyball Beach KC MO,

I was just looking for cool things to do in Martin City since my wife and I are relocating to the area and we found this blog post.

I really appreciate you taking the time to do this for new and current community members. Thanks again!
